Our Story
The Hype Haven Co started as a shared frustration: great craft supplies were either overpriced, hard to find, or buried under stuff that didn't actually work.
The Origin
In 2021, founder Sara Lin was running a small quilting studio in Portland, Oregon — constantly ordering supplies from four different stores, waiting weeks for delivery, and returning half of what arrived because the quality didn't match the listing photos.
She started The Hype Haven Co with one simple rule: only carry what she'd reach for every single day. No impulse-buy filler. No fragile novelties. Just serious tools for serious makers, curated with the same care she'd want from a friend in the industry.
The digital library came next. Sara partnered with pattern designers, calligraphers, and professional crafters to build a growing vault of downloadable content that members could access instantly — no waiting, no minimum order.
Today, The Hype Haven Co serves thousands of makers across the US and Canada, with a library that grows every month and a physical product catalog that gets tighter, not bigger, as we raise our standards.
Our Mission
Whether you've been quilting for 30 years or just unboxed your first Cricut, Hype Haven is built around the idea that better tools and better knowledge produce better making.
What We Stand For
Our team are active crafters — sewists, knitters, paper artists, and macramé obsessives. We only carry what we'd actually use at our own tables.
Every physical product in our shop is built to last. We source tools and organizers that outlive the trend cycle and earn a permanent spot in your studio.
Our digital library grows every month. Patterns, guides, workbooks, and cut files — designed by professionals, priced for real crafters.
We say no to filler, fragile items, and anything that doesn't solve a real creative problem. Our curation is strict — your trust is worth it.
